AUBURN, Indiana (March 4, 2015) – One hundred percent of proceeds from a 1934 Ford Street Rod Roadster will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) when South Florida's premier collector car auction returns to Fort Lauderdale, March 27-29. Proudly presented by Auctions America, led by local South Florida collector car veteran, Donnie Gould, the upcoming Fort Lauderdale sale presents a wonderful showcase of automotive history, with 500 collector vehicles poised for the auction block.

Stunning in pearl white with a black soft-top and gray custom interior; the 1934 Ford Street Rod Roadster is powered by a Chevrolet V-8 engine and features five-spoke Cragar-style wheels with Goodyear blackwall tires, along with a removable top and rumbleseat. Estimated to fetch between $45,000 - $50,000, it will be sold to the highest bidder during the event's Saturday, March 28 session. All proceeds from its sale will benefit the BGCBC, a non-profit private agency dedicated to helping young people improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during their critical period of growth. Each year, the BGCBC serves more than 12,500 at-risk youth, ages 6-18, in South Florida's Broward County.

"As a company, Auctions America is committed to giving back to the local communities in which we operate. We're proud to be supporting the BGCBC and their important work in helping inspire and enable children to realize their full potential," says Donnie Gould, President of Auctions America. "The 1934 Ford Street Rod Roadster is a fantastic car. Combining a classic vintage look with modern driving comforts and convenience, it is made for the road, ideal for long distance road trips."

Auctions America's Fort Lauderdale sale will also lift the gavel on a selection of 45 automobiles from the Cayman Motor Museum Collection. The result of more than 35 years of dedicated acquisition by lifelong enthusiast, Andreas Ugland, the group encompasses an eclectic assortment of automobiles, along with a series of motorcycles, all offered without reserve.

Highlights include:

  • a stunning 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Coupe; a part of the collection for 25 years and still equipped with its original Columbo V-12 engine (Est: $500,000 - $550,000);
  • a 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo; an example that rarely comes to market and is enjoying appreciating value and popularity; (Est: $60,000 - $75,000); and,
  • a Euro-spec, five-speed transmission 1977 Maserati Khamsin, presented in its original colors. The Fort Lauderdale sale represents the first time in over a decade an ultimate Khamsin-spec Maserati has been offered at a US auction (Est: $130,000 - $160,000).

The Cayman Motor Museum Collection is one of a number of single-vendor collections that will be offered as feature attractions at this year's Fort Lauderdale sale. Also slated for the block, the previously announced Chrysler Shelby Collection, along with the Mundt Collection, a diverse assortment of 13 vehicles ranging from a 1928 Ford 'Model A' Roadster to a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible showing less than 800 miles.

Additional recent entries illustrating the breadth of this year's Fort Lauderdale include:

  • an original 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, in single-family ownership since new and boasting less than 15,000 kilometers (Est: $350,000 - $400,000);
