SHOCKING NEWS: Nicki Minaj Road Crew Member Killed in Philadelphia

A MEMBER of Nicki Minaj's touring crew was stabbed to death in Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

De'Von Pickett, 29, was killed and another member of Minaj's team was stabbed during an altercation in the Pennsylvania capital, reports TMZ.

The other victim, 27-year-old Eric Parker, is in critical condition.

The news was confirmed by the rapper herself on Wednesday morning, who said her crew had been in town rehearsing for an upcoming tour with Minaj's rumoured boyfriend, fellow emcee Meek Mill.

Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour.

"My friend [De'Von Pickett] (left) died & my friend Eric Parker is in critical condition in the hospital fighting for his life," the rapper Faboluous wrote alongside a picture of Pickett on Instagram. "I am still in shock & don't want to believe this."

Pickett and Parker were stabbed following a bar fight at Che Bar & Grill in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane neighbourhood, which spilled out onto the street, reports NBC 10 Philadelphia.

"We believe that both of the victims, as well as the perpetrator, were all inside of this bar and that's when an argument started," Chief Inspector Scott Small told the station.

Some witnesses told authorities that the altercation may have had to do with a recently fired employee, something which has yet to be confirmed.

The suspect was seen driving away in a grey Buick LeSabre.
